‘A Quiet Place: Day One’ Prequel Earns $53 Million at Box Office, While Kevin Costner’s ‘Horizon: An American Saga—Chapter 1’ Debuts with $11 Million

The prequel film ‘A Quiet Place: Day One’ has made a significant impact at the box office, earning an estimated $53 million in its opening weekend in North American theaters, according to studio estimates on Sunday. However, it narrowly missed out on the top spot, which was retained by Disney and Pixar’s ‘Inside Out 2,’ making an estimated $57.4 million in its third weekend.

In contrast, Kevin Costner’s self-financed film ‘Horizon: An American Saga—Chapter 1’ had a less successful start, debuting with only $11 million at the box office.
