Apple Inc. Veteran Saori Casey Joins Sonos Inc. as Chief Financial Officer

Saori Casey, a former Apple Inc. executive, has been appointed as the new chief financial officer (CFO) of Sonos Inc., a smart speaker company. Casey will assume her role on January 22, replacing current CFO Eddie Lazarus, who will transition to the position of chief strategy officer while retaining his role as chief legal officer, according to a statement released by Sonos on Tuesday. Casey, who left Apple last month, brings with her over a dozen years of experience at the tech giant, where she served as vice president of finance. During her tenure, she worked closely with CFO Luca Maestri, overseeing financial planning, forecasting, and investor relations. Prior to her time at Apple, Casey spent 15 years at Cisco Systems Inc., holding various finance positions during a period of significant growth for the networking company. Sonos CEO Patrick Spence expressed confidence in Casey’s ability to build on the company’s momentum and capitalize on future opportunities. This move marks another high-profile departure from Apple, following the recent retirements of Steve Hotelling, vice president of hardware technologies, and the upcoming departure of Tang Tan, vice president of product design. Apple declined to comment on the matter.
