British Tourist Found Dead Under Mysterious Circumstances in Greece

A 44-year-old British tourist was found dead on the Greek island of Spetses under mysterious circumstances. Local officials suspect the possibility of a homicide as the victim was discovered floating in a bay with head wounds. The man was taken to a local hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival.

According to a police official, the victim appeared to have been hit on the left side of his head, suggesting that he may have been knocked unconscious before entering the water. The exact cause of death remains unknown, and authorities are investigating the incident.

The British citizen was in Greece to attend a classic yacht regatta. Speculation has arisen that he may have fallen from a boat, but the source emphasized the presence of a head injury and the likelihood of the victim being unconscious when he fell into the sea.

This incident adds to a series of deaths involving tourists in Greece this summer, primarily attributed to extreme heat. Notably, a semiretired Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputy named Albert Calibet went missing during a hike on June 11 and has yet to be located. Additionally, a horse trainer named Toby Sheets was found dead on the Greek island of Mathraki on June 16, having drowned.
