Faraday Copper Discovers Potential for Significant Gold Contribution at Copper Creek Project

Faraday Copper Corp. has announced promising results from its Gold Program at the Copper Creek project in Arizona, USA. The findings indicate the potential for a substantial increase in value through the inclusion of payable gold in future Mineral Resource Estimates (MRE). The Keel Zone, which represents a significant portion of the current underground MRE, has been identified as hosting the largest gold-bearing domain on the property to date.

The Keel Zone encompasses approximately 60 million tonnes of the total 330 million tonnes in the current underground MRE. It contains various mineralization domains, with bornite and chalcopyrite being the dominant styles. These minerals are found disseminated and in miarolitic cavities, as well as in porphyry-style veins, suggesting a high emplacement temperature near the apex of a magmatic intrusion. The Keel Zone, along with the Mammoth breccia, forms the most continuous vertical mineralization discovered on the project thus far.

Gold mineralization within the Keel Zone is zoned, with the highest enrichment occurring in the magmatic cupola associated with bornite. Metallurgical test work conducted on bornite-bearing samples from the Keel Zone has shown average gold recoveries of over 80%, indicating the potential for gold to be payable in a copper concentrate.

Faraday Copper has been analyzing archived sample material for gold, along with re-analyzing samples for copper, silver, and molybdenum, to enhance data coverage for potential inclusion in future MRE updates. The company intends to evaluate additional zones in the current MRE for gold assay data coverage. Furthermore, ongoing Phase III drilling at the American Eagle site aims to explore shallow breccia-hosted mineralization.

The recent findings provide a strong foundation for Faraday Copper to unlock significant value by incorporating gold in concentrate as a source of by-product revenue. The company’s President and CEO, Paul Harbidge, expressed optimism about the potential contribution of gold, stating that it could increase the overall value of the Copper Creek project.

Faraday Copper is a Canadian exploration company focused on advancing its flagship copper project in Arizona. With a management team and board of directors boasting extensive experience in the mining industry, the company is well-positioned to achieve its key milestones. Trading on the TSX under the symbol “FDY,” Faraday Copper continues to explore the Copper Creek Project, which is one of the largest undeveloped copper projects in North America, offering significant exploration potential.
