GoDaddy founder Bob Parsons has released a new memoir titled “Fire in the Hole: The Untold Story of My Traumatic Life and Explosive Success.” In the book, published by Forefront Books and Simon & Schuster, Parsons shares insights into his difficult childhood, his time in Vietnam with the U.S. Marine Corps, his entrepreneurial journey, and his experience with psychedelic-assisted therapy for PTSD.

Parsons emphasizes the importance of perseverance and following one’s dreams, highlighting that success is achieved through consistent effort and taking small steps towards goals. He also advises entrepreneurs to focus on making a difference and building something special rather than solely pursuing financial gain.

Reflecting on his decision to start GoDaddy, Parsons expresses satisfaction with his choice to enter the internet industry, recognizing its immense potential. He currently oversees 14 companies but delegates day-to-day operations to appointed leaders, emphasizing the importance of instilling enthusiasm in employees and customers.

He shares his personal experience with PTSD and advocates for the use of psychedelics in therapeutic settings, expressing support for their legalization.
