Born as David Anthony Love Jr. in February 1967, Kid Capri began experimenting with music at a young age, scratching records using his father’s stereo system. He gained popularity by performing in clubs and local venues across New York, utilizing a grassroots approach to build his reputation. Capri became one of the first DJs to perform on major television networks like VH1 and BET.
