Kearney Becomes Newest Tenant at Empire State Building

Global management consulting firm Kearney has become the latest tenant at the Empire State Building in New York City. Kearney has leased the highest two office floors, 78 and 79, totaling 27,866 square feet. The firm will be relocating from Seven Times Square. The asking rent for the space was $88 per square foot.

Empire State Realty Trust, the owner of the iconic building, has been implementing a $550 million capital improvement program since taking over in 2006. As of the first quarter earnings supplement, the Empire State Building is 93% leased. Thomas P. Durels, the executive vice-president for real estate at Empire State Realty Trust, mentioned that Kearney employees will enjoy breathtaking views from their new offices.
