Knightscope Secures Three New Contracts for Emergency Communications

Knightscope, a leading robotics and artificial intelligence company focused on public safety, has recently announced three new contracts for its K1 Emergency Communication Devices (ECDs). These contracts will support public safety programs in South Boston, Virginia; Farmington, Pennsylvania; and Buffalo Grove, Illinois.

In South Boston, a global technology company specializing in sustainable energy solutions has purchased its first solar-powered K1 Blue Light Tower. This installation aims to enhance safety in an employee parking lot. To facilitate the sale, Knightscope has approved MSC Direct, an industrial equipment distributor, as its newest authorized partner. MSC Direct has added Knightscope as a vendor of emergency phones to their extensive list of suppliers. The success of this initial installation is expected to pave the way for future ECD installations across the United States.

In Farmington, a crafts school located in the woodlands south of Pittsburgh will be installing the K1 Call Box. This addition is necessary due to the lack of public cellular service in the area. The school has secured a grant from the state of Pennsylvania to help fund the installation of the optional satellite-based communication device. This will ensure a reliable method of summoning assistance in times of need.

In Buffalo Grove, a family-owned electrical construction contractor has purchased a K1 Blue Light Tower for a parking area. Additionally, the client has subscribed to the Knightscope Emergency Management System service (KEMS) to enable real-time monitoring of the deployed emergency communication devices. KEMS provides immediate text/email notifications whenever a help button is pressed. The cloud-based application also offers automated daily email reports on the operational status of the system, eliminating the need for manual testing. This comprehensive system maximizes operational efficiency and usability.

Knightscope’s innovative technologies are designed to improve public safety, with the long-term goal of making the United States the safest country in the world. These recent contracts highlight the growing demand for their K1 Emergency Communication Devices across various industries and locations.
