Michael Caruso, along with several other individuals, is involved in a lawsuit against Beam Suntory, alleging threats and extortion. The legal dispute reportedly began when Julious Grant, one of the defendants, allegedly attempted to extort Caruso. Grant allegedly sent a text message to Caruso, demanding a payment of $600,000 and threatening to disclose sensitive information to rapper 50 Cent. Another defendant, Mitchell Green, later admitted to wrongdoing and informed Caruso and others about the plan.
In response to the report, 50 Cent shared an article screenshot on Instagram, expressing his concerns about Beam Suntory’s actions. He called for government regulation in the spirits business and highlighted the challenges faced by black-owned companies. 50 Cent and Caruso are seeking at least $6 million in damages through their lawsuit.
Renowned civil rights attorney Ben Crump is representing 50 Cent in this case. Recently, 50 Cent traveled to Washington D.C. to discuss the situation with congressional leaders. He emphasized the need to hold Suntory Global Spirits accountable, as they are a $20 billion company that can afford fines for non-compliance.
