Music Executive Brandon Silverstein’s Zoom Call Outburst Sparks Controversy

A video clip of music executive Brandon Silverstein angrily yelling at a client during a Zoom call has caused a stir in the music industry. The video, which has been circulating for over two weeks, shows Silverstein threatening legal action against rising English rapper LeoStayTrill and his representatives. In the leaked video, Silverstein can be heard making aggressive statements, including threats to sue various parties involved in the artist’s career.

Silverstein, who manages Latin star Myke Towers in addition to his work with LeoStayTrill, later apologized to the rapper’s representatives via text message, attributing his behavior to personal matters. He also mentioned the possibility of involving a major label in their business relationship. LeoStayTrill’s managers, Alistair Goldsmith and Ade Shonubi, expressed their disapproval of Silverstein’s conduct, stating that such behavior is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.

While the video has sparked curiosity and speculation, neither LeoStayTrill nor his managers have commented on the artist’s contractual obligations to Silverstein’s S10 Entertainment label. It is not uncommon for heated business disputes to arise between artist representatives and labels, although the industry’s standards have evolved over time.

The incident involving Silverstein and LeoStayTrill is not an isolated case, as disputes between artists and labels have increasingly played out in public, often involving social media. Notable examples include Halsey’s accusations against Capitol Records and Anitta’s split from Warner Records. However, unlike established artists, LeoStayTrill is still at the early stages of his career.

The situation is currently being handled professionally, with a focus on the best interests of the 17-year-old artist, according to Goldsmith’s statement. Further details regarding the incident and LeoStayTrill’s future remain undisclosed.
