NJPW President Hiroshi Tanahashi Appears at STARDOM Show Following Acquisition

NJPW President Hiroshi Tanahashi made a surprise appearance at a recent STARDOM show held at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan. This appearance follows NJPW’s acquisition of STARDOM as a fully-owned subsidiary. The acquisition was completed on June 28, with Bushiroad Fight Co. Ltd. officially renamed to STARDOM Co. Ltd.

The merger between NJPW and STARDOM aims to streamline and centralize the operations of both promotions under collaborative management. Prior to the merger, NJPW identified redundancies in managing operations within the Bushiroad parent company.

During his appearance, Hiroshi Tanahashi briefly addressed the audience, expressing his vision of the two companies working together as a family. STARDOM President Taro Okada also spoke about the merger, highlighting the name change from Bushiroad Fight Co., Ltd. to STARDOM Co., Ltd. He emphasized STARDOM’s growth potential, surpassing that of New Japan Pro-Wrestling.

Following his in-ring address, Hiroshi Tanahashi participated in a backstage press conference, where he assured viewers that he and Taro Okada would collaborate to enhance the enjoyment of their respective products for growing audiences.
